Fine Arts on 5th

A 15-minute drive from Best Nest Farm, Fine Arts on 5th Gallery and Studio is a cozy art space in Malvern, IA. Local artists from Iowa and Nebraska display their paintings, pottery, glass, jewelry and more. They offer an open studio every Saturday, inviting artists of all ages and abilities to come and pick up a paintbrush. Open Thursday through Saturday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Mills County Historical Museum

Journey through 150 years of history showcasing a time when houses, farms, railroads, businesses and schools were being developed in Glenwood and surrounding areas. Located in Glenwood, approximately 15 minutes from Best Nest Farm, the museum has seven historic buildings to explore, including a one-room schoolhouse and a Burlington caboose. Davies Amphitheater

Located in the picturesque Glenwood Lake Park, a 15-minute drive from Best Nest Farm, Davies Amphitheater has been a jewel of Southwest Iowa for more than 40 years.  A unique, family-friendly entertainment venue, it is home to many music shows and outdoor events. Enjoy music shows throughout the summer on Saturdays starting at 7:00 pm June 1-August 31. Hillsdale Lily Garden

Hillsdale Lily Garden, an official American Daylily Society display and historical garden, is 10 minutes down the road from Best Nest Farm, on Hwy 275. The garden, which has 234 varieties on 1 ½ acres, is open to the public. Historical and modern cultivars for all blooming seasons are available for purchase. Their peak blooming season is the first two weeks of July. The annual Lily Fest and Concert takes place in July and is complete with craft and food vendors, petting zoo, face painting and of course potted lilies for purchase.
